The longest court case ever labelled as a “mess” by one of the member of National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) Adv Shamila Batoyi at adhoc committee is set to resume Today the 9th of February 2026 After a Horrific discovery. An unexpected cut off closer of accuse number one’s case Muzi Sibiya which led to an early adjournment.

On the 3 February 2026 the court heard that mysteriously the planned witness for accuse number one disappeared into thin air and it was unlike for him/her to do so , the reason behind the disappearance remain unknown. Did they arrest him also like they did with Sifiso Zungu(Gwabeni) and Makhosonke? Or He got cold feet after he saw that the court room its very hot and he can’t handle adv Baloyi and Dr Sibandas questions?
As the results of this witness disappearance we heard adv Mnisi the represative of accuse number one Muzi telling the court they are closing the case of Muzi unexpected as we were told few days ago that there are still two more witness. Did this disappearance of the witness influence this decision? Only GOD knows.
This has caused a further delay since Mr Sipho Ramosepele the representive of accuse number 2 Bongani Ntazi was caught off guard by the closure of Muzis case,He requested a further adjournment till Monday the 9th of February 2026 in order to finalize consultations with Ntazi,’s witnesses. The question is what are the chances of Ntazis witness making it to court after this drama? Does the disappearance of the witness have something to do with the cold case unit led by Brig Bongani Ginida or the accused family?
However, a new witness is expected to take the stand for the defense case specifically to accuse number 2 Bongani Ntazi. Who could be this witness? A family member? A friend? Let’s wait for 10am at Pretoria high court. Will the Meyiwa ever find Justice? Did the State prove the guilt of the accused beyond a reasonable doubt?
